Dell OEM Solutions and KEMP Technologies have announced the LoadMaster R20, a purpose-built hardware load balancing and application delivery controller based on the Dell PowerEdge R320 server and backed by Dell’s global support network. The LoadMaster R320 enables medium-to-large enterprises to assure the high availability and reliability of Web-based, business-critical applications by intelligently distributing network traffic among Web and application servers in clusters powering Internet sites and large intranets. Microsoft, Foxconn Parent Hon Hai, Sign Patent Agreement for Android & Chrome Devices
Microsoft Corp. and Hon Hai, the parent company of Foxconn, have signed a worldwide patent licensing agreement providing broad coverage under Microsoft’s patent portfolio for devices running the Android and Chrome OS, including smartphones, tablets, and TVs. Contents of the agreement are confidential, but the companies say Microsoft will receive royalties from Hon Hai for use of Microsoft patents. More
U.S. Agencies Adopt Microsoft Dynamics CRM
The U.S. Air Force and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs have received this year’s Microsoft Dynamics Customer Excellence Award, presented annually to Microsoft Dynamics customers that most effectively use technology to transform their organizations. Microsoft also announced 10 additional federal agencies that are adopting Dynamics, joining more than 200 U.S. federal organizations that have moved to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform to accomplish strategic modernization initiatives on limited budgets. Malware Infections 5.5 Times More Likely Without Antivirus Software says Microsoft Report
Microsoft has released the Microsoft Security Intelligence Report volume 14 (SIRv14) that reveals that 2.5 out of 10 computers on average do not use up-to-date antivirus. The report shows that without this vital protection layer, computers are 5.5 times more likely to be infected with malware. More

Tech Execs expanding Market Focus to Brazil, Mexico, Canada, South Korea as High Growth Markets Says KPMG
Technology companies are expanding their sales focus beyond the United States, China and India to Brazil, Mexico, Canada and South Korea, says KPMG. The Big Six company’s annual Technology Business Outlook survey of U.S.-based technology executives also shows them increasingly concerned about labor costs and low-cost producers. Asked which geographic markets will provide the highest percentage revenue growth for their companies during the next 12-to-24 months, respondents continued to cite the United States and China, but the numbers are down. About a third cited Brazil as a high-growth area, while at least a quarter cited Canada, 15 percent listed Mexico, and 14 percent, South Korea. More
