Stay Ahead with Innovate 2013: The IBM Technical Summit

The much awaited IBM Technical Summit – Innovate 2013 recently kicked off at Orlando. Scheduled for June 2 -6, 2013, the event will showcase cutting edge technologies at an expo, over 450 technology sessions, certifications and entertainment evenings. You’ll also see and hear Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, The Lean Startup author Eric Ries, and TV producer and tech host Katie Linendoll at the Summit.

Pitching the Summit as an ideal way to Stay Ahead, IBM says that you should attend the Summit to learn how to:

• Stay ahead of the major trends revolutionizing system and software delivery across the DevOps lifecycle: Cloud, Mobile, Social, Big Data, Smarter products, Agility, and Analytics

• Stay ahead of the competition, increasing customer demands, and rapidly shifting team dynamics.

• Stay ahead in your own career path by getting technical and business knowledge you can put to use today, straight from the source–your peers–as well as our clients, Business Partners, and team of IBM experts.

Apparently, this five-day event is supposed to be THE technical education event of the year for software and product practitioners. With session topics like current state of software development, team dynamics, and broad-reaching strategies, The IBM Technical Summit conference will explore key trends in the software industry with particular focus on roles that must come together to deliver software and products. Yes, DevOps will be a major topic of discussion.

Here are some session titles to evoke your interest:

  • Enterprise DevOps: Accelerating Delivery of Multiplatform Applications;
  • Go Agile, Grow Agile and Continuously Delivery;
  • Status-quo is not an Option! A Systems Approach to Product and Systems Development.

Finally, the fun element of Summit is that it also includes a night at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. All Innovate 2013 attendees will be taken to the Animal Kingdom, where they’ll have an exclusive access to the park and its thrilling rides including Expedition Everest and Primeval Whirl.
