Rixty Adds Xbox Live Gift Cards, Gold Membership, and Incentive Programs

If you’re a fan of online and mobile games–and need to find a way to feed that habit with virtual cash–you probably cannot stay away from Rixty. For those unaware, the Rixty is the largest platform for buying and selling virtual currencies within the online gaming and digital entertainment world. The platform allows users without credit cards at their disposal to purchase virtual goods in online entertainment from FarmVille to iTunes.

The company announced that it will join Microsoft as an official Xbox Live Gift Cards and Gold Memberships digital code wholesaler and signed resale agreements with Coinstar, Great Lakes Scrip Center and other partners.

Thanks to the promising gaming market on Xbox Live, resellers looking to take advantage of the new Xbox currency system can partner with Rixty to get access to Xbox Live digital codes. Users can redeem their digital codes on the Xbox video game console and entertainment system or at the Xbox Games Store and the Windows Phone Store.

“Rixty is already an established alternative payment platform for online games, and we’re proud to be selected as one of the few approved Xbox Live Gift Card and Gold Membership wholesalers,” said Ted Sorom, CEO of Rixty, Inc. “By expanding our channels to nontraditional resellers such as loyalty and incentive programs, we’re giving these partners access to lucrative new products and consumers more convenient ways to obtain their favorite entertainment content.”

With the huge base of Rixty sales channels and one of the best alternative systems to purchase credits for online games, Rixty provides a simple and cost-effective way to obtain gaming products in real-time and in the quantities and denominations.

“By working with Rixty, we are able to expand our offering of convenient, electronically delivered products for our customers,” said Jill Whalen, Vice President of Retail Partnerships at Great Lakes Scrip Center.

After shutting down Xbox Live Arcade’s virtual currency system in August, Microsoft stated that Xbox Gift Cards will be made available in retail destinations and online stores starting late 2013. Partnership with Rixty is the next step in that direction.

Rixty gets the official status for distributor of Xbox Live Gift Cards and Gold Memberships digital codes for Xbox 360. Rixty’s Xbox code distribution service is available to game code resellers, loyalty program providers, and membership rewards and employee incentive programs. Currently, user can buy Xbox Live Gift Cards by paying from $5 up to $100 and can then redeem to purchase games, HD movies, TV shows, music, sports, and even apps from the Window Store on a Window’s phone or Windows 8 tablet or PC.

The company’s real-time API is able to deliver real time statistics for reducing inventory management costs and ensuring that Xbox Live digital codes are always in stock and ready for delivery. With tens of millions of subscribers worldwide, the partnership with Microsoft can safely be deemed a success for Rixty. Rixty will help Microsoft increase sales, enable new business models and attract new customers.
