Smart Home solutions to boom in 2017 : Ninja + others lead the way

Parks Associates estimates that by 2017 more than 11 million US homes will have some sort of smart home controller in their homes.  This is a huge increase from the two million homes currently equipped.  And one device in particular is pushing the limits. Ninja Sphere is a smart home automation solution in the works that will allow users to write their own drivers to make more devices compatible with the device.

Wearable Tech for Fido brings a whole new meaning to “Speak”

Ever wonder what your dog is trying to say to you when he whines or  barks incessantly?  We may not have to wait more than 10 years to truly know what our dogs are thinking, as a little gadget called Woof No More is already in the works.  Woof No More is a special dog collar laced with sensors that monitors the dog’s EEG and translates that information into human language.  The translated phrases are simple responses suchs as “I’m hungry,” but the makers at the Nordic Society sees Woof No More as a first step towards two-way communication with our lovable canine companions.
