It’s the start of a new year, and that’s just the time people go out of their way to make new year’s resolutions.  There’s always an envious few that stick to their resolutions, but the majority quickly forget their new year’s efforts. Withings offers a range of smart products to help people get fitter and healthier.  But one of their most notable products is the Smart Body Analyzer.  It looks like a digital scale, but it does more than take your weight.  The Smart Body Analyzer tracks your weight, your body composition, heart rate and even air quality.

Via the companion smartphone app, you can set your weightloss goal and the app will help you by breaking things down into weekly targets, as well as providing you useful tips.  It’s ability to track air quality in you home also makes it easy for you to know if it’s time to let some fresh air in.

Jawbone Up 24

This is a new fitness tracker from Jawbone.  It all has the goodness of the original Up such as sleep and nap tracking, 24/7 activity tracking, food and drink tracking, mood tracking, an insight engine, idle alert, smart alarm, and has a power nap feature that wakes you up at around 26.5 minutes after you fall asleep.

The Jawbone Up 24 has a 10-day battery and is water-resistant, but instead of plugging it in to sync with your smartphone, it now syncs wirelessly.  With wireless syncing, users no longer have to worry about plugging their devices to view their data or progress, which means you can now see your progress chart in real-time.  Jawbone Up 24 is now available for $149.99, comes in Onyx and Persimmon, but is currently only compatible with iOS.
