Smart cars for Android, Google Glass + solar charging @ #CES2014

Google announced the Open Automotive Alliance at CES 2014.  The consortium is comprised of Google, General Motors, Honda, Audi, Hyundai, and chipmaker Nvidia, with the primary goal of developing an Android-based infotainment system that is “purpose-built for the car.”  Also in this week’s SmartCar rounup are BMW’s use of the the Galaxy Gear with its infotainment system, and Google Glass integration on Hyundai Genesis cars.
