Dell is riding the wave of digital disruption| #DellWorld

Matt BakerThe radically changing needs of Dell Inc.’s customer base is making major players in the company stand up and take notice. Matt Baker, Director of Enterprise Strategy at Dell said, “There is a digital wave of disruption, which is driving businesses to react.” In a live interview with theCUBE, at Dell World 2014, Baker talked about the current customer base in the market. He said, “There is a driving technology change.”

CEO Michael Dell often talks about TCIP (Transform, Connect, Inform, Protect) and that philosophy requires customers to be more proactive about the future of their businesses. “They have to transform their business and at the same time transform their technology. They have to connect, it is a connected world, all of the digital disruption is largely beingn driven by the connected consumer and the connected business.” said Baker. Baker also made sure to drive home the point that Dell customers need to be informed, “as most of these new digital models are driven by data analytics.” “Finally, as these models are moving online, protection is obviously important.” Baker stated.

“We are all about helping our customers adopt technology.” said Baker. Dell does this through services and their cloud market place solutions, as well through the sale of on-premise solutions for the customer’s most business critical needs.

“Every business is facing some degree of digital disruption and mid-market customers need to navigate that. Dell is strong, we are there for you, we are there for you end-to-end. In times of a lot of turmoil, we are a steady force, we are here.” said Baker.
