Black Friday 2014: Your guide to the best deals on game consoles

gamer 1It’s almost that time of the year again when leading game vendors and retailers jump on the deep discounts for consoles, games and more. All three major next-generation consoles have hit their stride and consoles are always going to be big around the holidays.

Below is a running list of best sales on video games consoles and top deals on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, Wii-U, Steam Box and much more for Black Friday.

Gamestop

Those looking to buy a pre-owned 120 GB PS3 with controller, you can shop at Gamestop for $169.99 or a 160 GB PS3 with controller for $179.99. GameStop’s other offers are the “Grand Theft Auto 5” and “The Last of Us Remastered” PS4 bundle for $399.99, Retro NES Edition of the Nintendo 3DS XL for $199.99, the Nintendo 3DS XL “Mario Party: Island Tour” bundle for $179.99, Xbox 360 500 GB “Call of Duty” bundle with Ghosts and Black Ops 2 for $199.99, Xbox One and copies of “Assassin’s Creed Unity” and Black Flag for $329.99, and a pre-owned original Xbox 360 with controller for $89.99 or a 250 GB Xbox 360 with controller for $159.99.

PS4 buyers can also get “Lego Batman 3” and “LittleBigPlanet 3” bundled for the same $400 price point. You can save $30 on an Xbox Live Gold 12-month membership Friday and Saturday when you purchase an Xbox System. The official wireless controller for XBox is also dropped to $44.99.

The PlayStation 4 Black Friday Bundle – “Lego Batman 3” and “Little Big Planet 3” will be on sale in Amazon. The bundle includes black PlayStation4 System 500 GB, black DualShock 4 Wireless Controller, AC Power Cord, HDMI Cable, Mono Headset, USB 2.0 Cable, LEGO Batman 3 in Amaray and a Little Big Planet 3 download voucher. The PlayStation 4 Holiday Bundle includes two free games for $399.99 – a value of $120. This item will be released during Black Friday week.

Amazon hasn’t clearly outlined what they’ll be pricing Microsoft’s Xbox One and 360, but have promised their lowest price ever on the console, plus $150 worth of digital content.

Toys R Us

Toys R Us is offering Xbox One console bundled with Kinect for $429.99. If you don’t like Kinect, they have Xbox One “Assassin’s Creed Unity” bundle, with Unity and Black Flag, for $329.99 for you. And if you’re less interested in hard violence, seek out the $400 bundle, which alternatively has “Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham”, and “LittleBigPlanet 3”.

BestBuyBest Buy

Best Buy is selling all the leading consoles at discounted and attractive offers. The PlayStation 4 Black Friday Bundle including PS4 and digital downloads of “The Last of Us Remastered” and “Grand Theft Auto 5” is on sale for $399.99. The PS4 wireless controller is available for $39.99, the Turtle Beach Ear Force PX4 wireless Dolby Surround Sound headset for $79.99 and the PlayStation camera for PS4 is for sale on $39.99.

The Nintendo 3DS XL bundle with “Mario Party: Island Tour” is on sale for $174.99. Best Buy is also offering 32 GB Wii U bundled with “Super Mario 3D World,” Nintendo Land, “Super Smash Bros for Wii U” and “Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze” for $359.97.

Target

Target store is offering the Xbox One with Assassin’s Creed Unity & Black Flag bundle for $329.99, plus a $50 Target gift card. You can also pick up the Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle with “Kinect Adventures”, “Kinect Sports” and “Forza Horizon,” for $179. The the Nintendo 2DS bundled with a digital download of “Yoshi’s New Island” is for sale at $99.99.

Microsoft is slashing the price of its Xbox One gaming console by $50 price. The Redmond company is also offering further discounts for select game titles for the Black Friday holiday weekend. The Xbox One will retail for $349 at participating retail stores.

A package deal that includes a Kinect and one free game from the popular Assassin’s Creed series will start at $449. Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Bundle retails for $349, while the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Bundle with Kinect carries a tag price of $449. The latter includes the following games: Assassin’s Creed Unity, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Dance Central Spotlight.

NewEgg

NewEgg is offering Assassin’s Creed Xbox One bundle with Unity and Black Flag, for $329.99. The PS4 bundle with Grand Theft Auto 5 and The Last of Us Remastered can be pick for $399.99. NewEgg also has a year’s membership for Xbox Live for $39.99 and an Xbox 360 controller for Windows for $29.99.

Walmart

Walmart is giving a $50 Walmart gift card if you buy a $399 PS4. The store has the “GTA 5” and “The Last of Us: Remastered” PS4 bundle for $399 offer also. Xbox One customers can buy the “Assassins Creed Unity Bundle” for $329 and “The Halo: The Master Chief Collection Bundle” is for $329. Moreover, there’s also an Xbox One Bundle with 12 months Xbox live and one choice of game for $379.

For Mario lovers, Walmart is offering the 3DS Super Mario Bros.2 Golden Edition Bundle for $149.96 and Mario Kart 8 is on sale for $35. Nintendo is also offering a new transparent version of the 2DS for just $100 at Walmart and elsewhere.

Dell buyoutDell

Dell will be selling an Xbox One bundle that includes the new “Assassins Creed: Unity” as well as “Assassins Creed IV Black Flag” for $330, one of the lowest prices in the market. Dell also has a good deal on the PlayStation 4 with “Grand Theft Auto V” and “The Last of Us” for $399.99.

NVIDIA

NVIDIA will offer online shoppers two special bundle deals for its Shield devices on Black Friday. The first one is the $399.99 32GB LTE version of the Shield tablet with free Shield controller. The controller is usually priced at $59.99 as an optional accessory. The company is also announced “Green Box” bundle of games from Valve, which include “Half-Life 2”, “Half-Life 2: Episode 1” and “Portal” for free, which is a $29.97 value.

Steam

The sale for Steam will start on November 26, which is the day before the Thanksgiving holiday in the US. According to VG247, the sale will begin on November 26 and run until December 1. There is no word on the price and deals yet, but PayPal confirmed the date in an email advertising Steam Digital Wallet Codes.
