Black Friday game guide 2014: Best video game deals

Tom Clancy's The Division UbisoftBlack Friday signals the dawn of the 2014 holiday shopping season, with consumers lining up for great deals in electronics and gaming. While most retailers are offering discounted prices on a wide selection of video game consoles throughout the weekend, the games themselves are not far behind in terms of offers and discounts.

This year, retailers are prepping the masses for massive savings with a week of rotating deals. Let our guide direct you to the best possible deals on gaming software.

Best Buy

Best Buy is offering The Lego Movie Videogame, Wolfenstein, The Evil Within, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Just Dance 2015 for $24.99 each. You can also get Walking Dead: Season, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, and Infamous: Second Son, The Evil Within, Shadow of Mordor, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Just Dance 2015, and Metro Redux for $19.99. Others include Killer Instinct, Dark Souls II, and Elder Scrolls Anthology for $14.99. Disney Infinity 2.0 Starter Packs at just $39.99 are price at $39.99.

Target’s deal for Black Friday includes a selection of seven games (Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One, WWE 2K15 for PS4, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for Xbox 360, Mario Kart 8 for Nintendo Wii U, Far Cry 4 for PS3, Super Smash Bros for Nintendo Wii U and Destiny for Xbox 360) for $59.99, with a free $15 gift card attached.

Target’s other sales are The Evil Within, Watch Dogs (XB1) and Shadow of Mordor will be $25, FIFA 15, Assassin’s Creed Rogue, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Diablo III Ultimate, Madden NFL 15, The Sims 4, and Watch Dogs (PS4) will be $35 and Disney Infinity 2.0 and Skylanders Trap Team Starter Packs will be $39.99, down from $59.99.

Toys R Us

Toys R Us sales will start on Thanksgiving Day. The store is offering all video games which cost $19.99-$59.99 are 40% off excluding starter packs, the Wii U Skylanders Swap Force Bundle for $199.99 and other game bundles at attractive price.

Walmart

Newer games like The Evil Within, Watch Dogs, FIFA 15, Madden 15, NBA 2K15, and Wolfenstein: The New Order are in sale for $29.96. For $25, you can pick up recent Xbox 360 and PS3 games like Watch Dogs, Shadow of Mordor, and Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Others like Disney Infinity 2.0 and Skylanders Trap Team Starter Packs are available for $37.

NvidiaNVIDIA

NVIDIA will offer online shoppers two special bundle deals for its Shield devices on Black Friday. The first one is the $399.99 32GB LTE version of the Shield tablet with free Shield controller. The controller is usually priced at $59.99 as an optional accessory. The company is also announced “Green Box” bundle of games from Valve, which include Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1 and Portal for free, which is a $29.97 value.

Microsoft Store

Microsoft Store is also not far behind in holiday sales. The popular games like Sunset Overdrive, Diablo III Ultimate, and Shadow of Mordor for $40; Forza Horizon 2, Dead Rising 3, and Ryse for $30; Metro Redux, The Evil Within, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Wolfenstein: The New Order are for grab at $25, while Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, LEGO Marvel, and Thief for $20.

Amazon

Amazon kicked off their initial list for their Black Friday video game including titles like Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appetit (3DS), BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma (Multiple Platforms), Mind Zero (PS Vita), Xblaze Code: Embryo (Multiple Platforms), Arcana Heart 3: LOVE MAX! (Multiple Platforms) and others.

The Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen (Xbox 360) is available at $14.99, Skylanders Trap Team Starter Pack (Tablet) for $49.99, Destiny Limited Edition (PS4) for $89.99, NAtURAL DOCtRINE (PS4) for $46.99, Fairy Fencer F (PS3) for $39.99, The Witch and the Hundred Knight (PS3) for $19.99, Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appetit! (3DS) for $19.99, Scribblenauts Unlimited (Wii U) for $11.99, Demon Gaze (Vita) for $29.99, Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited (Vita) for $29.99, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (Vita) for $29.99, and DanganRonpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (Vita) is available for $28.49.

Grey Dog Software is running a Black Friday sale with 10% off on games like Imperium, Arcadia, WreSpi3, both Fast Break titles, TEW 2013 and WMMA 3, 15% off on titles including Comic Book Hero, WMMA 2 and TEW 2010 and 20% off on TEW 2008 and WMMA. You can also save 25% on TEW 2007 and the WreSpi Collection.
