Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge price and availability

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. brought sexy back when it launched the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge with its metal and glass design, not to mention how cool the dual-curved edges of the S6 Edge appear. And starting Friday, March 27, you can pre-order your new Galaxy devices from select U.S. carriers before they hit shelves on April 10, 2015.

Both devices feature a metallic bezel, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for its display screen and back cover, and a 5.1-inch 2560×1440 Super AMOLED display with 577ppi. They are powered by an Exynos 7420 chipset and 64-bit Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A5 and are available with 32/64/128GB memory. But the devices do not offer a microSD slot for expansion. Other features include 3GB of RAM, NFC, infrared port, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth LE, and A-GPS, GLONASS and Beidou.

Until today, there have only been rumors as to how much the devices will cost in the U.S. So just how big of a dent will purchasing a Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge put in your bank account? And is there’s a way for you to get it without going broke?

AT&T

The 32/64/128GB storage options in black, white and gold variants of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be available on AT&T, but the network has yet to release the price list of all the models. AT&T did, however, reveal the prices of the 32GB S6 and S6 Edge under the Next 24 plan. For the Galaxy S6, consumers pay $22.84 monthly for 30 months for a total of $685.20. For the Galaxy S6 Edge, the price starts at $27.17 a month for 30 months, for a total of $815.10. The price mentioned does not include a carrier plan for text, calls and data, just the subsidized price of the device.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile has released the price for both devices on all available models, plus its subsidized pricing. For the Galaxy S6, price starts at $679.92 for the 32GB version, $759.99 for the 64GB and $859.99 for the 128GB model. For the Galaxy S6 Edge, price starts a bit higher for the 32GB version at $779.76, $859.83 for the 64GB model and $959.83 for the 128GB version.

T-Mobile is offering an easier and more affordable way for consumers to own these new devices by offering device plans for as low as $28.33 per month for the 32GB Galaxy S6 or $32.49 per month for the 32GB Galaxy S6 Edge, both at $0 down for 24 months.

For the S6 64GB, you need to pay $99.99 upfront plus $27.50 per month for 24 months and pay $199.99 down plus $27.50 per month for 24 months for the 128GB model. For the Galaxy S6 Edge, you pay $99.99 or $199.99 up front for the 64GB or 128GB, respectively, plus $31.66 per month for the next 24 months. The prices mentioned does not include cellular or data plans, just the subsidized amount of the devices.

So far, these two carriers are the only ones that have released pricing for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
