Join SiliconANGLE livestream and crowdchat coverage of E3 2015 #E32015

Earlier this month, game livestreaming service Twitch.tv announced that it would allow streamers on its site to co-stream Twitch’s E3 coverage. The staff at SiliconANGLE intends to take advantage of this and bring some exclusive commentary to our readers.

Read below for information on how to join in on the live broadcast via Twitch and community discussion via the Crowdchat platform.

SiliconANGLE’s staff will be co-livestreaming the official Twitch coverage of E3 and adding our own commentary to the streams. To do this, SiliconANGLE managing editor Kyt Dotson and video games writer Eric David will be co-hosting on the Dotson’s MMO Anthropology Twitch.tv channel during the event.

While the content and format of the channel is generally about massively multiplayer online (MMO) games, this means the channel does not stray far from video games in general and E3 is wall-to-wall gametastic festivities.

For the livestream, Dotson and David will be playing various multiplayer video games (as backdrop) such as Minecraft while providing commentary. The focus will be on the press events, but Crowdchat participants and Twitch viewers could also join in the gaming while listening to the action.

Sit down at the Crowdchat campfire

During E3 and the livestream times, SiliconANGLE’s Kyt Dotson and Eric David will also be hosting a Crowdchat with the #E32015 hashtag. Readers are invited to join in with Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn accounts.

Using this as a forum for thought, alongside the Twitch chat, participants will be able to ask and answer questions, reveal information, and engage in community discussion.

Everyone is invited to be involved.

Simply click the Crowdchat link and follow the chat to be ready for the beginning on Sunday.

Schedule

To get things warmed up, SiliconANGLE’s Kyt Dotson will be hosting a livestream on Sunday, June 14th, coinciding with a press announcement from Bethesda Softworks, expected to make announcements about Fallout 4, at 7pm PDT. This will serve as a dry run of the livestreaming format and help prepare for starting on Monday following other E3 coverage.

Monday, June 15th, 9:30am PDT, Microsoft Corporation will be announcing new Xbox games and hardware changes. This will continue all the way until after 6pm when Sony Corporation is expected to present about the PlayStation platform.

Tuesday, June 16th, 9:00am PTD, Nintendo Co Ltd. will be presenting news about the Nintendo Wii-U and other platforms. The stream will continue through E3 coverage and commentary until (and through) the PC Gaming Show exclusively on Twitch.

During Wednesday and Thursday, the co-streaming will follow along with the Twitch channel’s coverage of E3 as much as possible.
