Open source an important piece of the IT puzzle | #RHSummit

theCUBE cohost Stu Miniman says that there is “no doubt” that open source is an important piece of the IT puzzle. As Miniman and cohost Sam Kahane reviewed the second day of Red Hat Summit, Miniman concluded that Red Hat, Inc. now “has a seat at the table” for top-level discussions.

Understanding how technology works

Of theCUBE interviews from Red Hat Summit, Miniman cites Red Hat President/CEO Jim Whitehurst and NGINX, Inc.’s Sarah Novotny as especially insightful guests. Miniman also said that user case studies, such as Amadeus travel software, can help others understand how the technology works.

Miniman predicted lots of companies to be built on open source in the future, which “leaves Red Hat an opportunity to get involved in lots of environments.”
