Dell Blueprints allow for choice, rapid deployment | #DellWorld

Thanks to the EMC merger, Dell, Inc. has become a “powerhouse of enterprise” with the ability to provide storage, compute and open network to both mid-sized and large enterprise companies. And with VMware, Inc., Dell plans to continue growing the trend to offer more stack-based solutions for Big Data and Cloud.

Currently, Dell Blueprints are available through the Dell website for “rapid deployment.” These offerings are a large part of Dell’s focus on being a “solution provider.”

During Dell World 2015 in Austin, Texas, Armughan Ahmad, VP of global enterprise solutions and alliances at Dell, talked with John Furrier and Dave Vellante, cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team. Ahmad remarked that business are “acquiring and consuming IT in different ways.” One of the focuses for Dell’s Global Enterprise Solutions has been “breaking up fiefdoms and democratizing” the market.

Dell gives partner ecosystem choices

Blueprints are “giving choice” to companies through the Dell partner ecosystem. Customization is heavily involved in the selection process.

“Dell is becoming more and more solution orientated,” observed Ahmad. Blueprints are available with, and without, reference architecture. The site can also help customers look at the cost of ownership.
