The wait is over; starting Wednesday, November 11 the 12.9-inch iPad Pro officially goes on sale on Apple’s website.
If you want to make your purchase in-store, then you will have to wait until later this week when Apple’s retail stores, select carriers and resellers will start selling the iPad Pro.
With the iPad Pro being the most powerful iPad that Apple has ever made, they are excited to get it into the hands of customers and see what they can do with the iPad Pro, according to Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Philip Schiller.
Apple has also announced that they will be offering Personal Setup for iPad Pro customers at their retail stores, in addition, there will be free workshops.
“I’m traveling with the iPad Pro and other than the iPhone it’s the only product I’ve got,” noted Apple CEO Tim Cook in an interview. “Yes, the iPad Pro is a replacement for a notebook or a desktop for many, many people. They will start using it and conclude they no longer need to use anything else, other than their phones,” added Cook, who is currently on a press tour to promote the iPad Pro.
Developers are also apparently feeling inspired by the iPad Pro and are creating advanced apps for Apple’s latest release. The apps are focusing on various areas including education, gaming, illustration, design, medical and entertainment.
To truly celebrate the iPad Pro, Apple has an advert that is out of this world. The 30-second advert showcases the split screen multitasking, the Pencil’s note taking support and, of course, the star of the show the incredibly large 12.9-inch screen.
The iPad Pro comes in three versions, a 32 gigabytes, 128 gigabytes (Wi-Fi only) and the top tier LTE-capable 128 gigabyte model. Prices start at $799 while the top tier version will set you back $1,079. All three versions will be available in silver, gold and space gray.
In addition to the availability of the iPad Pro, you will also be able to get your hands on the Apple Pencil, which will retail for $99. The Smart Keyboard, available in charcoal gray also goes on sale on Wednesday at a cost of $169.
