Wistiki is a Paris-based company who is “ushering in the end of lost” and want to be the solution to you never losing your important items again.
Wistiki teamed up with French creator Philippe Starck to create a range of differentiated trackers, called the Found YOU collection that will allow you to track various objects directly from your smartphone, including your keys, wallet and even your pets.
The company’s current crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo has already reached and exceeded its initial $100,000 goal – with 13 days to go, they have raised $112,923 from 895 backers.
Wistiki has a range of three trackers that they have termed the “jewelry collection” of connected devices.
The voilà! easily attaches to your keys so you never have to worry about misplacing them. The hopla! is a 3mm, self-adhesive card that easily slips into your wallet or sticks to the remote control. While ahā! can be attached to your pet’s collar, allowing you to track them down if they make a dash for it.

There are various ways to use the Wistiki smartphone app (available for Android and iOS) to track down your lost items. You can make the item ring or use the GPS locator. Activate the virtual leash to alert you if your item is moving away, i.e. your bicycle that you left outside, or activate the reverse virtual leash when your item is getting closer, i.e. your bag at the airport carousel.
You are able to add 10 Wistiki devices to the smartphone app and you can share your rights with multiple users so that you can locate your lost item from multiple devices.
Tracking devices that attach to your keys, wallet, bicycle, etc. are not new, so what makes the Found YOU collection different from all the other competitors out there? There are three areas where the Found YOU collection apparently has an advantage over competitors: battery life of three years, compared to the six to 12 months offered by other trackers; increased range of 328ft compared to the average 35ft; and the ability to make your lost items ring 3x louder.
The tracking devices cost $29 each via Indigogo, compared to the expected retail price of $50. The voilà! will start shipping in March, while the hopla! and ahā! devices will ship in December 2016.
