How Nutanix dives into data storage | #NEXTConf

There is a growing push to find better and more efficient means to store and combine data. With a multitude of data streams filling the airwaves, Nutanix, Inc. is emerging as a leader in data storage capability and technology.

Sudheesh Nair, president of Nutanix, talked with Dave Vellante (@dvellante) and Stu Miniman (@stu), cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during the Nutanix .NEXT Conference 2016 event about Nutanix and how it operates in the market.

Scaling up

In just a few years time, Nutanix has developed a strong brand while maintaining the soul of the company through its growth. The soul of the company is “the culture” it has created, key to creating good relationships with partners, said Nair.

Nutanix can translate that relationship with 200 people to 20,000 people by maintaining its three core values, Nair added: Be hungry, be humble and be honest. By adhering to those simple but strict tenets, Nutanix plans to provide an ecosystem of trust for users and developers.

Evolution and simplification

As technology evolves, so too must tech companies. Nutanix is evolving with the market and doing so while empathizing with its audience. The company thinks from the partner’s perspective in order to develop a product that understands the needs of each individual partner, according to Nair. Nutanix does more than just provide a service, it helps elevate the thinking and training process in order to look at application and delivery.

Most stack providers do things that “don’t make sense for their business,” said Nair. In order to help keep things on track, Nutanix simplifies content so that it may be used more effectively. By sending content to the right person at the right time, Nutanix is creating a growing market for enterprise platforms.

Be the enabler

Nutanix uses a strategy of enabling when working with customers. It works to provide a unique set of tools that allows its partners to fix a variety of issues, according to Nair. Nutanix puts the partner first and goes out of the way to ensure customer satisfaction, he explained. With that satisfaction comes trust, and that trust leads to prolonged relationships.

The simplified product Nutanix provides allows users to focus more on the issues and less on the tools to fix them. Nutanix hopes to be the “most humble partner for our customers,” said Nair.
