Dell promises innovative Big Data solutions | #RHSummit

The U.S. might be behind when it comes to data trends, according to Jim Ganthier, VP and GM of Engineered Solutions of HPC and Cloud at Dell.

“I’ve been flying from Africa to London to Germany to Switzerland and back,” he told Stu Miniman (@stu) and Brian Gracely (@bgracely), cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, today at Red Hat Summit. During his travels, Ganthier discovered that the adoption of Cloud is growing further and faster overseas.”Over there, we’re seeing lots of great adopting, especially in Southeast Asia,” Ganthier said. “In greater Western Europe, Big Data is absolutely taking off.”

Dell has been looking forward to this boom in Big Data for some time and promises innovative solutions ahead. “We’re bringing together some great partnerships,” said Ganthier, “We now have greater capabilities. We’re making everything more streamlined, more simple.”

This simplification is an added bonus for Dell’s customers. “We’re giving customers greater capabilities so that they can focus innovation instead of infrastructure,” said Ganthier.

But that’s not all that Dell has in store. “There’s going to be lots of other great things joining the Dell family,” Ganthier promised. “We’re looking forward to building even more solutions on behalf of our customers.”
