Sapho expands its enterprise push notification service to Google Analytics and Zendesk

Staying on top of new information is easier said than done for business professionals who interact with upwards of dozens of different applications over the course of the average work week.

In a bid to ease the challenge, a startup called Sapho Inc. has developed an alerting platform that makes it possible to pull updates from a company’s systems and notify relevant personnel through custom clients. Users also have the ability to create embedded workflows for collaboration tools such as Slack. The firm also is rolling out connectors for four of the most popular cloud services, starting with Google Analytics.

Sapho’s platform can now be used to aggregate daily traffic statistics from a company’s website such as the number of visits it receives in a 24-hour period, the length of each viewing session and the average bounce rate. Moreover, the startup says users have the option of visualizing their metrics using built-in graph templates that can display historical data going back as far as a month.

Marketers could pair their Google Analytics notifications with data from the other audience tracking services to monitor how their promotional campaigns influence engagement on a day-to-day basis. Help desk managers can similarly keep an eye on the performance of their teams thanks to a new connector for Zendesk, the second integration that Sapho is rolling out today. The addition provides the ability to generate alerts with data about the number of tickets that are solved in a given period and various related metrics about the effectiveness of support operations.

The two remaining connectors that are included in today’s update plug into Box, which can now be accessed remotely through a file preview feature, and Oracle Sales. They join a list of nearly 70 supported applications that was expanded once again last week when the startup added integration with Watson Workpace, a collaboration service introduced by IBM Corp. in October. Workers can use Sapho to pull important updates from external systems such as Marketo into their chat channels and have Big Blue’s built-in artificial intelligence technology organize them automatically.
