Ray Lane Taking the Reins – Kudos To Ray Lane #getbusy

Dan Lyons wrote a blog post highlighting and clarifying the role Ray Lane played in the HP board actions.

Here is the link – HP Chairman Ray Lane: A profile in courage.

I have been very vocal on the HP actions at the corporate level and have to say kudos to Ray Lane. I hear from my sources the same that Ray was initiating the saving of HP. Mainly to restore what was my angle all along – HP is the icon of tech and integrity.

I’ve been writing and tweeting about the entire theme of Ray and Meg’s memo to HP employees. It’s as if they cut and pasted my blog posts Thank God there is some sanity there.

However, Meg and Ray are on track with the “transformation plan”.

My advice is simple. Do two things: 1) not spin out PC division and 2) blow off Autonomy deal.

If HP does those two things Meg can easily turn the ship in the right direction. The wind is at their back if they just tweak their direction.

Simply put: the computer industry is changing and growing fast and HP is in position to sail to better revenues, happy customers, engaged employees, and bigger profits.

Go Ray Go!
