Stop staring, or he might shoot
It has been said many times, in many places. If you don't know, you don't know. Not athletes, not entertainers, not anyone really.
Just because someone looks like a jerkoff on TV, doesn't mean they are a bad guy. Just because they don't get along with reporters and teammates, doesn't mean they are pulling the wings off of butterflies and setting fires in the backyard.
Conversely, just because someone is labeled 'quiet', 'conservative' and 'hard working', doesn't mean that they don't kick puppies and steal money from their grandmother. Or in the case of Marvin Harrison, maybe shoot someone.
Harrison was the quintessential 'guy who stayed out of trouble'. The guy that 'worked hard' and 'never had issues'. Um, maybe not.
This piece by Jason Fagone in GQ tells a terrifying story of Harrison, his family history, and what may have, and likely did, happen outside of Harrison's bar in Philadelphia.
You never know.
