Nate Kaeding is a gagger of the highest order. This too, is not an opinion, but a fact.
Kaeding proved that he is a choker, a gagger, a man who can’t do his job when it matters most. Three missed kicks during the regular season, when the games are less important, less pressure packed and less stressful. Three more misses yesterday when the pressure was greatest, the games most important, and the whole league was watching. Make them when they don’t matter, miss badly when they do. Kaeding looked like he wanted to burst into tears on the sidelines. He looked like he would have rather been getting sent to the electric chair than being sent onto the field to kick another field goal. AC Green looked more confident heading into his wedding night.
See ya. Nice knowing you. Good luck missing kicks with a new team next year. To be fair, I think Charger fans might have been expecting more from Kaeding than they should have. After all, he did go to Iowa. When has an Iowa player done anything that matters?

Who cares how accurate he is during the regular season? He is downright bad when it matters most. First one, a 36- yarder, pulled badly to left. In golf terms, he yanked a two-footer and didn’t even get the lip. The second attempt, a 57-yarder, was no good. Fine, I’ll give him a 57 yard miss. Attempt number three, was a pushed 40 yarder that never had a chance. Gag job.
Make the third try and the Chargers have a legit chance to win. The Jets weren’t doing much offensively and the Chargers had some mo’. The miss essentially ended the game. A miss on a kick that he makes 100 out of 100 times if there isn’t pressure.
Charger fans need you, Rolf.
I do give credit to Kaeding for one thing. He had the courage to walk back into the locker room after the game knowing that he was the reason they lost the game. That took some stones.
Is Rolf Benirschke still available or is he still hosting Wheel of Fortune?

For the well rested and healthy 13-3 Chargers to lose at home to a 9-7 Jets team, yes 9-7, it is beyond disgraceful. Add that the Jets only got in because the Colts and Bengals laid down for them and it becomes even more atrocious. Seeing that game made me vomit in my mouth!
If Saddam Hussein was mayor of San Diego, Kaeding would now be facing an execution squad for ruining the Chargers post season TWICE in the past 5 years. San Diego must cut him. He is even MORE hated by SD fans than Jabustus Russell is by the raider fans.
Whatever you say about Nate is probably fair and accurate at this point. He has come up small in the biggest of times, which has happened to more than one great kicker before. I do however take offense to the Iowa blast. History lesson or education to the author. Without going through the entire past of Iowa the question was possed who is the last Iowa player to do anything great. Dallas Clark is pretty good catching Touchdowns from Manning. Also IIRC didn't Bob Sander win Defensive player of the year a couple of years ago. So now you ask what has any Iowa Kicker ever done. Well Look up the name Reggie Roby and read about his accomplishments as a punter in the League. Also if you watched the game this last week you may have noticed a Rookie Running back that ran right over Eric Weddle a premier NFL Safety like he wasn't even there. BTW that became the game winning touchdown for 58 yards which is the Jets record for longest playoff run. That guy was from IOWA too. You lose sir, You get nothing, Good day to you, I said Good Day!
