Women’s Basketball Fight Same As Men…Stupid

Brittney, don't hurt 'em.

I think we have reached a very important moment in the history of women’s sports in this country.  I’m not talking about some woman who can barely scrape a dunk over the front of the rim with a child’s ball, or that some female Japanese knuckleball pitcher got signed to a pro contract.  Who cares?  Not me, I know that.

But something did happen last night that made me think that women’s sports made a leap without really even trying.  They started punching each other in violent outbursts and I don’t care anymore.

When Baylor’s Brittney Griner played Kermit Washington to Texas Tech’s Jordan Barncastle’s Rudy T., minus the dislocated skull and leaking spinal fluid and all that, I didn’t care.  Really.

Maybe it was Elizabeth Lampert a few months ago when she started gooing her way across the soccer fields of the MWC.  That was interesting to me, but it was also the last time I found women acting like idiotic men compelling.

One athlete failing to control herself, takes a swing at another one, who might have been asking for it in the first place.  Good work ladies.  You have achieved what you have been after all these years, equality.  I don’t see a couple of girls involved in a cat fight, I see a couple of idiots who don’t know any better than to not throw sucker punches at people who aren’t looking, same as in the men’s game.

From Foxsports.com:

Tech coach Kristy Curry said Barncastle has an appointment in the morning to determine the extent of her injury.

"We're all in shock right now," she said. "It's very unfortunate. It's very sad. My only concern is Jordan Barncastle."

My only concern wouldn’t be in Barncastle getting her nose put back on her face, it would be the fact that women’s sports is now going to have to rely on sports to sell their product, not oddball dunks and fist fights.  That should be worrisome for everyone involved.  You play ball, you fight, you are just like the guys in all the bad ways, only the basketball isn’t as good.  Well done.

That Lady Volunteer has the universal women's correctional facility "please don't rape me" look.

Juwana Mann...er, Brittney Griner has, what appears to be, a receeding hairline (or a real bad case of male pattern baldness). Doesn't anyone find that disturbing? I understand that Caster Semenya is demanding that she be gender tested by the NCAA. In the immortal words of Austin Powers, "She's a man, baby!"

I find it disturbing that Brittney has an adams apple and talks like a man, In reality a man just sucker punched a woman in the face

wow your a complete idiot..i bet you dont know the first thing about sports. considering all your doing is writing about it...have some balls and play basketball and see if you dont want to punch someone in the face bc you would get that feeling every game. so unless you have been there..dont hate. thanks:)

I like the "your a complete idiot" blast, considering the fact that you misused the word 'your' twice in YOUR post.

Your is a possessive as is illustrated in the following sentences: "This is your car." "This is your pencil." The contraction of the words "you are" is spelled you're (which is what I think you were aiming for). Also, let us not forget the word "yore" which is an adverb meaning long ago; in times past. Sounds the same, but entirely different meaning. Damn homophones (and no, you won't find them in West Hollywood).

Remember that thing about living in glass houses? Just thought I would point it out before you actually threw the stone...ooohhh, too late. Ouch, sorry to see that. Calling people idiots when you cannot yourself present a cogent argument to do so makes you more of the idiot, does it not? Looks like the toothpaste is out the tube. Don't hate...thanks:)
