Google Offering AdSense Beta for Mobile Phones

image Google is offering AdSense beta for mobile developers.

Expect heavy startup activity over the next few years. Already major startups like Millennial Media have established viable revenue for developers via their offerings. Millennial Media has a unprecedented reach of over 70% of the mobile web market reach.

Mobile startups like Millennial Media are seeing massive uptake in audience engagement and conversion. Clearly, expanding the use of rich media in the advertising marketing mix works with the increased technology and delivery capabilities of smarter mobile devices. This is finally happening for advertisers and the main winners here are the developers. Now Google is jumping in to validate that trend.

image In the new program by Google developers can implement AdSense directly in an mobile app with Google’s developer toolkit. This officially puts the mobile ad market in play as one of the most viable growth areas.

With regard for Google’s new AdSense for mobile, developers must apply for the beta program, and the program is currently open to application developers.

Features include:

– Maximize your app’s revenue

– Automatically display the highest-paying ads in your app.

– Get targeted ads from Google’s large advertiser network

– Ads on your app can be targeted by keyword, demographics, and location. Advertisers can also directly bid for a placement in your app.

– Retain full control over your apps

– Determine the appearance and positioning of ads in your app, and you can filter out ads you don’t want to appear.

Google’s beta requirements

1. Min 100K daily pageviews

2. Free apps only

3. Android or iPhone app

4. Ready to implement now, live within 4 weeks

5. Participation for at least 3 months
