Biggest Tech Lawsuits of the Year: Infographic

Who’s Suing Whom is an infographic chart looking at the myriad of lawsuits occupying a lot of the tech giants’ time right now.  Based on data from the Guardian Tech and the New York Times, the two diagrams are mashed together to create a gripping infographic design. The source of information for this diagram are Bloomberg, BBC and DigitalTrends.com, and made by James McCandless.

“I thought those charts generated more questions than they answered. So, as ever, I tried to answer the obvious questions and convey various contexts simultaneously.

I wondered, too, if I could design the connections so the lines didn’t cross. Almost managed it!”

Between patent infringements, anti-monopoly cases and privacy investigations, lawsuits are just par for the course for the likes of Google, Apple, Microsoft and others. This past week or so revisited many of those cases, including Microsoft vs. Nokia, Oracle vs. Google, and the resolution between Microsoft and Motorola.
