Juniper Networks Gets High Marks on Wall Street, and by Light Reading

Juniper Networks is moving forward, full steam ahead.  The cloud solutions provider registered a 52-week high in shares last week, landing at $34.57. Over that time span, the lowest trading point was $22.25. Although the news are optimistic for the 2,727,202 shares traded, technical indicators warn that Juniper Network’s trend is neutral – similar to a 3 out of 5 stars ranking.

Moreover, the Juniper Networks Inc. development was awarded by Light Reading, for the “Best New Product” in the Telecom section. The spot-lighted product was MX80 3D Universal Edge Router, which is part of MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers – which is designed business, residential and mobile services intended. The successful recipe of the product was the revolutionary 3D Scaling technology Trio chipset used – it enables at least a doubled speed processing of the traffic than the competitor products.

At the award ceremony, Stefan Dyckerhoff, the executive vice president and general manager of Infrastructure Products Group sector of Juniper Networks declared that “We are honoured to receive this award for the MX80 as it is a testament to our industry-leading technology and commitment to innovative solutions that transform the experience and economics of networking.”

Light Reading – the organizer of the competition presented the winners on the 2nd November, at a dinner held in New York City, which was preceded by the first day of Ethernet Expo Americas 2010. The ceremony is part of the Light Reading’s Leading Lights award, which is one of the most authoritative in the industry, by neutrally recognizing the achievements in telecommunications.

The significance of the award is even higher, as the Best New Product prize officially recognizes the “potentially market-leading product that, through engineering and technical excellence, enables the deployment of profitable next-generation telecom services.”

Juniper Networks just can’t sit still if it hopes to keep this up.  This week brought news of Juniper’s new support for IPv6 migration, noting the opportunities for growth we’re seeing around virtual environment optimization.
