The Best Point & Click Adventure Remakes
Point & click adventure games such as Monkey Island, Sam & Max and Space Quest were the most popular genre on PC in the early 90’s. They are much more difficult to find nowadays and often look outdated, which might put off first timers. Here are several high quality titles that have been made more modern, without losing any of their original flair.
Commercial remakes
- Monkey Island 1 & 2 have received special editions. The updates include high quality graphics and voice acting, plus commentary. They are both available on iOS.
- Broken Sword 1 & 2 have also received a Director’s Cut and Remastered editions, which include better graphics, more key story elements, as well as additional artwork by Dave Gibbons. They are both available on iOS.
- Beneath a Steel Sky got additional cutscenes and better audio. The game is available on iOS.
- Bad Mojo Redux is an update which includes high quality graphics and commentary.
