Cloud data protection solutions provider FalconStor today announced it has named former interim president and interim CEO as president and CEO of the company. McNeil joined FalconStor in 2009 as chief strategy officer from his previous position as executive VP at Cheyenne Software which was acquired by CA Technologies.
“This is an auspicious time for FalconStor, with its depth of technical expertise and strong industry partnerships, to lead the way towards addressing IT’s most pressing business continuity challenges,” said McNiel.”
McNiel stepped in as interim CEO and president after the resignation of former CEO, chairman and president ReiJane Huai, whose resignation came after alleged improper payments in context to an unnamed FalconStor customer.
In our previous coverages of FalconStor, we discussed its services and reseller agreement with HP Enterprise Services which led to a rise in shares value. Additionally, SiliconANGLE also gave its take on the $26.4 million in losses the company reported for Q3 2010 and the appointment of Brendan Kinkade as Vice President of Channel Management in addition to his role as VP of Global Alliances.
