Today, you can’t usually drive or walk a street without seeing some form of technology. Taking the dog out for a walk comes with Apple’s bite sized iPod shuffle as well. Taking things too far could mean jogging with an iPad.
CENTRAL PARK (WABC) — Police are searching for the two men who robbed a jogger inside of Central Park.
It happened early Wednesday morning around 6:15 at 110th Street and 5th Avenue inside the park.
Two suspects approached a 46-year-old man who was jogging in the park and began to punch him.
The victim fell to the ground and dropped his iPad, which the robbers picked up before running away.
The iPad is a beautiful device, but taking it out for a jog seems a little overkill. It’s usually toast anyway if it gets dropped. Other devices were made to accommodate exercising.
Getting mugged is nothing to poke about. He didn’t deserve to be “attacked” over a portable electronic device. However, I don’t believe Steve Jobs would endorse running with an iPad.
