There’s a report of Apple releasing two different iPhones at their September event.  This means what for iPhone 4 users? There’s a bigger chance for developers to wipe application support for the iPhone 4 if this report remains to be true.

For much of the spring, the reporters who cover Apple (AAPL) have been arguing among themselves about what to call the new iPhone they expect the company to introduce in September.

Some call it the iPhone 5, to match the iOS 5 operating system Apple unveiled to developers three weeks ago.

Some, anticipating that the new device will be a speeded-up iPhone 4 rather than a major re-design, have been calling it the iPhone 4S, echoing the nomenclature Apple used two years ago when it introduced the iPhone 3GS.

It feels as though Apple is trying to do something new with their usual unveiling of a new advice.  Two heads are better than one, correct? Two phones would give users a choice of probably more advanced features,  while leaving one for those who just want an iPhone in general.

What features does an iPhone need? Making two devices available should have a distinctive difference between the two.  The biggest addition in my opinion was video.  Once the iPhone had video,  there was no more jail breaking that entered my mind.  Video started making peoples lives more convenient on a mobile device,  Apple specifically.

With iMovie now available for both the iPad and the iPhone,  what more could Steve unveil on the video end of things?  The mystery lies with predicting those innovative features.  Creating a better user experience  is always nice,  but Apple fans love more of course.

September should be an interesting month.  I just hope my iPhone 4 will not lose any focus on the developmental side. Regardless if it’s a blockbuster Steve Jobs announcement or not.
