Top iPad, Android Business Apps: Analytics on-the-go with Woopra

The featured app in this week’s list is the newly launched Woopra, an analytics app for the iPad and iPhone that compresses a Google Analytics-like service into a tablet-optimized view with a lot of graphical additions to add some extra appeal.

iPad

Woopra

Woopra mixes together on-the-go analytics with rich visualization, an element that can be expected to be included in a lot of iPad apps.   It provides all the usual statistics including visits, referrals and extensive user activity, all of which can be viewed in a well-organized dashboard. Visitors’ location and activity are marked on a map, displayed in a pie chart and show up on a thermometer animation updating in real-time.

Box for iPad (updated version)

The new Box for iOS debuted just a few days ago, introducing significant enhancements to the popular collaboration app. A lot of loading time has been cut of the loop by allowing users to record media from within the app itself, and the built-in search functionality has been greatly improved among other things.

Android

Catch Notes

Catch is a highly-rated app that expands the typical functionality of a note-taking app with add-ons and little tweaks designed to capture thoughts  – and a number of other things for that matter – on the go. Things such as auto-sync with cloud-based services, backup and more are all included in this free app.

Scratchbook

Scratchbook aims to serve the same purpose as Catch, but exclusively for the designer that had a flash of inspiration and needs to visualize quickly. It syncs with 37signals Campfire and is perfect for draft drawings and designs.
