Vonage Tops the List for iPad, Android Tablet Business Apps
This week it’s Vonage Mobile that made it to the no. 1 spot in our list of Android tablet and iPad business apps. Vonage is not carving out its own niche, but is instead attempting to take on Skype and the many startups with existing VoIP offerings in the mobile app marketplace by simply offering more value to business users.

The newly launched Vonage Mobile is a VoIP app specifically designed for mobile workers, and it differentiates itself from other by quality: international calls are about 30 percent cheaper than Skype’s rate, according to the developer, and video/audio quality fall in the HD category.

iPad
Speaktoit is technically a Siri clone, made popular as an Android alternative to iOS users. But the rivalry is about to get heated, as Speaktoit heads to iOS, extending its features beyond what Siri offers. The big deal about the app is that in can run on older iPhones and iPads, bringing the AI experience to many more Apple customers.
Server Admin is an iPad app for the resident geek in the office. It enables IT administrators to monitor Mac OS X servers on the go over EDGE, WiFi and 3G connections, and was designed with its target user base in mind. For one, the interface has been designed to be as identical as possible to the Mac OS X admin dashboard.
FileMaker is a classic piece of mobile database software that empowers users by allowing them to view business charts and metrics, share data etc all while providing a host of features to accommodate this kind of usage optimally.
MicroStrategy is a BI app that lets employees view data from their iPads in a smooth interface that lays out information, trends and other types of insight in several different well-organized formats. It’s all optimized for the iPad’s display, which further adds to the overall experience.
