FeedHenry Brings Mobile App Development to Cloud Foundry
FeedHenry is a platform for building and deploying cross-platform enterprise mobile apps. The company offers both tools for building and managing HTML5/JavaScript/Node.js applications and a platform-as-a-service for hosting the backend. Today the company that its platform will now be able to deploy Node.js apps to Cloud Foundry as well as its own cloud hosting.

Available today at mobilecf.feedhenry.com, Cloud Foundry developers can build mobile apps using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS fully integrated and instantly staged to their CloudFoundry.com account. To get started, simply download the FeedHenry Command Line tool, using your existing CloudFoundry.com credentials. New subscribers to CloudFoundry.com can join using the promotion code “feedhenry“.
The post also contains instructions for building a simple Node.js/Redis application, staging the background on Cloud Foundry and creating an Android client complete with an .apk file.
FeedHenry, which was a competitor in the NodeJam startup competition at NodeSummit earlier this year, offers several tools for building and managing apps:
AppStudio: Apps built in HTML5, Javascript, CSS on the platform studio can be deployed to Apple, Android, Blackberry, Nokia WRT, and Windows Phone 7 smartphone/tablet devices.
AppManager: Create private enterprise app stores to manage app discovery and distribution. App Manager supports User Access and Authentication, OTA Install, and Remote Application Management.
AppCloud: The server-side cloud architecture makes it easier to securely access and connect to backend business systems and cloud services when developing an app; manages storage, caching and scaling of enterprise apps; and supports server-side business logic.
AppAnalytics: The platform supports full app lifecycle management, analytics and reporting to track app downlaod and usage patterns.
Deploy to Any Cloud: The cloud offers greater scalability and support for evolving business mobility needs. Different cloud configurations, public, private or hybrid, can be implemented depending on client requirements.
The company competes with other cross-platform development systems such as PhoneGap, Titanium and RhoMobile.
