The popular photo editing-sharing app, Instagram, made its way to Android smartphones last April. Though it did not have support for Android tablets, it was quickly downloaded by fAndroids, which irked a lot of iOS users. They were enraged that the iOS-exclusive app was being infiltrated by Android users and deemed that the newbies were polluting their photography haven.
Now that fAndroids’ presence on Instagram isn’t such a big deal, let’s look at some of the tools being utilized by Android users in making their mark permanent in the Instagram world.
If you think the filters on Instagram aren’t enough and you just gotta have ‘em all, this app may just fill up that void. It allows you to convert your Instagram photos into retro-looking photos via filters like Polaroid and allows you to add freehand comments.
If you want everyone, as in everyone you know, to see that you have a new photo on Instagram, this is the app for you. This app allows you to share photos from Instagram to people in your email address book, SMS contacts, Google Drive, Dropbox, Google+, Facebook, Twitter, and other photo apps. This lets your photo reverberate for all of eternity, across the digital landscape.
This app is great for stalkers – it lets you see on the map where the photos on Instagram are taken. But if you’re not a stalker, as you shouldn’t be, this app is great for finding hidden treasures like paradise getaways for you and your honey, or just a peaceful sanctuary for you to clear your head.
These two apps let you put cool and funky frames on your Instagram photos. InstaPicFrame allows you to share on Instagram and other social networks while Instaframe just lets you share on Instagram. InstaPicFrame allows you to put multiple photos in a single frame, like a collage. though Instaframe doesn’t have that feature, it allows you to doodle on your photos.
Doodle Gram! Paint 4 Instagram and FreeHand for Instagram
These apps are for the free thinkers who just love putting their thoughts into words on their photos, or for those people who like creating virtual greeting cards. Doodle Gram lets you transform your Instagram photos into greeting cards, so go crazy in creating birthday, get well soon, or any-occasion cards. As for FreeHand, this lets you put word or descriptions on photos, like when you want to make fun of your dead-drunk buddy.
