New BlackBerry Z10 vs. iPhone 5 and Other Top Smartphones

BlackBerry unveiled two devices at yesterday’s event, the Z10 and the Q10.  Though the devices look promising, BlackBerry fans in the US will have to wait over a month to see the new handsets.

The company has been lambasted in the past for delaying the release of its new platform and new devices, but the bitterness didn’t seem to affect BlackBerry even as it once again delays availability of the devices.  UK fans are the first to get their hands on the Z10 starting today, followed by Canada on Feb. 5, then UAE on Feb. 10, and lastly the US in mid-March, while the Q10 won’t make an appearance until April.

As we wait to see if these devices could actually save BlackBerry, along with Alicia Keys as its new Global Creative Director, let’s see how the Z10 compares to other top smartphones.  A full comparison of the Z10 versus the iPhone 5, Nexus 4 and Galaxy SIII can be found below the video, which offers a full analysis on the Z10 launch and what it means for BlackBerry.

So which is the best phone?

.

I’m surprised by the look of the Z10, it looks a lot like the iPhone 5.  With that being said, let’s talk about which is the best device.  The Z10’a Time Shift feature is pretty cool but it’s like tricked out version of Samsung’s Best Photo, so that’s not really something jaw-dropping, but it still earns them a point.

If you’re the type of person who wants your work life separated from your personal life, then the Z10 would suit you well because of BlackBerry Balance.  Then its battery life is quite impressive too.  Aside from that, some of the Z10’s features are almost the same as the other smartphones so it’s up to you which design calls out to you more.
