Wipro, IAMAI Predict MVAS Market in India Set to Grow to US$9.5 B by 2015

In a joint report titled Future Thought of Business (FTOB):MVAS”, Wipro Technologies and the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) predict that the Indian MVAS market will grow at a CAGR of 25% from US$4.9 billion in 2012 to US$9.5 billion in 2015. Accenture Creates 300 Jobs in Austin with New Delivery Center

Accenture is opening a delivery center in Austin, Texas, providing software development and support as well as consulting and technology services for the company’s health and public sector work across North America. The center is targeted to grow at around 300 jobs by the end of 2013, bringing the number of Accenture employees in Texas to more than 5,000. The company has other offices in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. More

Accenture Survey Identifies Challenges Facing UK/Ireland Banking Center in Re-engaging Customers

Accenture’s annual survey of more than 4,000 current account customers in the UK and Ireland shows declines in the depth and quality of interactions between customers and their banks as new customer loyalty challenges emerge. The survey shows that daily and weekly branch visits fell from 19 percent to 15 percent and daily and weekly online banking activity fell from 69 percent in 2010 to 61 percent in 2012. More

Skanska Selects Accenture to Implement Oracle Fusion Apps

Skanska Sverige AB, a project development and construction group, has awarded a framework agreement to Accenture to deliver management consulting and technology application services. Financial terms were not disclosed. Under the three-year agreement Accenture will help Skanska implement new Oracle Applications in HR, finance & accounting, business analytics, and operations. More

Nearly Half of U.S. Financial Advisors use Social Media Daily to Interact with Clients, says Accenture

An Accenture Survey of 400 U.S. financial advisors found that they see social media as an increasingly important tool to engage customers, grow their business, and better understand clients investment goals. It found 48 percent use social media daily to interact with clients and that they significantly overestimate the investment savvy and risk appetite of investors. More
