Netherlands Rabobank International Selects HP Autonomy for Dodd Frank Compliance

Rabobank International, the retail bank division of Rabobank Group, has selected HP Autonomy Enterprise Content Management (ECM) to meet regulatory obligations and drive business efficiency. Autonomy will provide a single, end-to-end information governance platform for regulatory record management and help increase trading efficiency by automating key front- and back-office processes. More


IBM Labs Working on Revolutionary Photovoltaic/Desalination System under Swiss Grant

The Swiss Commission for Technology and Innovation has awarded a three-year, $2.4 million (2.25 million CHF) grant to a group including IBM Research to develop an affordable photovoltaic system capable of concentrating solar radiation 2,000X and converting 80 percent of incoming radiation into useful energy. The system should also provide desalinated water and cool air in sunny, remote locations. The group includes Airlight Energy, a supplier of solar power technology; ETH Zurich (Professorship of Renewable Energy Carriers); and Interstate University of Applied Sciences Buchs NTB (Institute for Micro- and Nanotechnology MNT) as well as IBM Research. More

Core new features include expanded heterogeneous data connectivity, storyboarding and enhanced visualization, and optimized data access and desktop self-service integration. Dell also announced that Concordia University of Portland, Oregon, a private, liberal arts university with 3,000 students, has installed the Toad BI Suite. More

This loss is a direct result of IITMs taking time away from primary business activities, says an AMI-Partners small-business study commissioned by Microsoft Corp.
