Hear ye! Hear ye! The Royal Baby has been born! It’s a boy!
That’s the scenario one might have seen, had William and Kate’s baby been born in the Middle Ages, complete with the trumpets and a herald yelling at the top of his lungs, in the middle of the town, shouting the announcement for everyone to hear.
But these days, all you need to do is turn on your computer or laptop or mobile device, and visit any site and you’ll instantly be bombarded with the news. Facebook is full of it, also Twitter, even the gag site, 9Gag.com, has been plagued by the baby news. The royal baby is already an internet sensation – he won’t have to do much to earn his popularity. Ever. We’ve all done the work for him.
Anyway, to celebrate the occasion, SiliconANGLE has picked out some of the funniest memes and tweets that convey just how excited netizens are about the birth of the Royal Baby:
@sullydish but he won’t be able to watch porn.

Dear William & Kate: If William is 100% royal and Princess Kate is 0% royal, will that make your son a half-blood prince? #RoyalBaby

Kidding aside, everyone here at SiliconANGLE is delighted for the royal couple, so cheers to that. We also understand just how difficult parenthood can be, but we know better than most just how technology may have the answer to those sleepless nights that Kate and William will have to endure.
And so in honor of the newborn Prince, we present the royal family with some nifty gadgets to help them out with the little angel, or if anyone wants to send them gifts – not that they actually need your help with anything. But these ideas may be useful for your own little prince or princess.
Breast milk is best for babies but with Kate’s stature, you probably won’t be seeing her whipping out her mammaries in public. What with all her public engagements in mind, the best way to go about feeding the royal baby might be to store some of her milk and use iiamo go, a self-warming feeding bottle, so that the little one can enjoy his warm breast milk on the go.
No doubt, the royal couple will be busy with guests and whatnot, so they might need someone to take care of the baby from time to time. But while there will always be a nanny, Kate and William can reassure themselves how the baby is doing with Withings’ Smart Baby Monitor.
This smart tub features a built in digital thermometer that’s color coded, so it will be easy to see if the water is at the right temperature for the baby. Another cool thing about this infant tub is that the baby won’t get stuck with dirty water either, as its designed to constantly flow out the tub as fresh water comes in.
This baby carriage opens and closes itself with the touch of a button, so it’s easy to set up and store. It charges while you use it, you can charge your mobile on the carriage, and it has path lights so you and the baby will be visible to others. It also has a lot of storage space, plus an LCD dashboard featuring a thermometer, speedometer, trip and lifetime odometers.
Finally, what else but Smart diapers? This particular accessory keeps mum informed if the baby has prolonged dehydration, is developing kidney problems or has a urinary tract infection. It works by analyzing the kid’s poop (yucky but informative), and pairs with a smartphone app that you use to scan the QR code on the front of each diaper. For now, this is still a project on indiegogo, but if you really want to give this as a gift for the royal baby, maybe you can help raise some additional funds ;)
The royal baby isn’t the only one who was born on July 22nd of course, but because of his parents he was naturally given the royal treatment. However, Storify.com knows that Kate and William aren’t the only ones celebrating today, and has rather thoughtfully given other parents the chance to share their cute little bundles of joy.
Here are some of the photos uploade to Storify today, using the hashtag #WelcometotheWorld:
