Your Guide to HP #Vertica Big Data Event : LIVE Coverage Today + Tomorrow

The HP Vertica Big Data Conference is in full swing this week at the Westin Waterfront Hotel in Boston, MA.  We’re broadcasting live from the event, with exclusive interviews and analysis on SiliconANGLE.tv.

See live feed below or visit youtube.com/siliconangle to watch on-demand.

The conference will run until tomorrow, August 7, and attendees will hear keynotes from General Manager of the Oakland Athletics Billy Beane, HP Vertica Vice President & General Manager Colin Mahony, Monash Research President Curt Monash,  The Wikibon Project Co-Founder Dave Vellante, and Deal Architect Inc. Owner and author of “The New Polymath” and “The New Technology Elite” Vinnie Mirchandani.

This year’s theme is “Driving the Future of Big Data Analytics,” and will feature a Solutions Showcase with more than 40 complementary technologies, presentations from HP Vertica business partners, and related HP products and services, as well as an Ecosystem track featuring customers and partners who are leveraging, extending and incorporating the industry-leading capabilities of the HP Vertica Analytics Platform.

One of the highlights during the first day was Logi Analytics’ announcement to support HP Vertica.  Logi Analytics is the authority on embedded analytics and the collaboration with HP Vertica would allow its customers to collect, analyze, and act on some of the largest data sets in the world.

“As our customers capture more and more information, they want to put that data to use,” said Brett Jackson, CEO, Logi Analytics. “With HP Vertica, Logi Analytics customers can continuously load information, while simultaneously providing just-in-time data access for intelligent visual discovery and analytics. We are pleased to partner with HP Vertica and look forward to meeting many members of their community at the HP Vertica Big Data Conference in Boston.”

Speaking of partnerships, HP was recently tapped by NASCAR to help it develop the technologies needed for an advanced racing infrastructure and organization.  It will build the collaboration around the Fan and Media Engagement Center (FMEC), which facilitates real-time response to traditional, digital, broadcast, and social media.  Also, NASCAR will now be a member of the HP Customer Lighthouse Program, which will give it early access to newly developed HP technologies.
