iPhone 7 release date, price and features: The rumor mill is on fire!

iphone before and nowIt’s been two months since Apple Inc.’s launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and already the rumors have started of what we can expect from the iPhone 7. iPhone7 update, a blog dedicated to iPhone 7 rumors and speculation, pulled together the latest on features, price, specs and more for the iPhone 7. Here are the highlights:

Display

Apple will want to ensure that the iPhone 7 is equipped with superior clarity when it comes to the screen, so it is likely that the screen size will be even bigger than the iPhone 6 Plus. Rumors also abound regarding the removal of the physical home button, due to the fact that TouchID sensor will be included. Face recognition may be brought in for unlocking the phone as well as the use of sapphire glass, like the Apple Watch. Speculation is also rife that liquid metal will be used for the chassis, which is more durable.

 .

Processor and Memory

Rumors for the processor and memory include a quad-core A8 processor and 256GB or higher storage space.

 .

Projector

Apple will be expected to follow in the footsteps of the Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Beam, which features a built in projector. However, it is expected that Apple will want to improve on Samsung’s offering.

Other feature rumors for the iPhone 7 include, a 14-megapixel camera, and new battery technology in order to have extended hours on a single charge. In order to enjoy uninterrupted Internet streaming, the iPhone 7 is also rumoured to launch with support for 4G connectivity.

 .

Release Date and Price

We will have to wait for the third quarter of 2015 to see whether these rumors are true. However, the rumors and speculation are bound to increase in the lead up to the launch.

However if the rumors regarding the impressive specs and processors are to be believed then the higher price tag is also likely. Speculation is that the iPhone 7 will cost between $649 and $849.
