Making data work in real time | #HadoopSummit
“We are looking at transforming the way that business users think of Big Data,” said Ajay Anand, VP of Products at Kyvos Insights, Inc. Anand joined theCUBE, SiliconANGLE’s Media production team, in an interview at Hadoop Summit 2015. “We transform and make it accessible for the business user so they can do self-service interactive analytics.”
Use case of real time is huge
During the interview Anand, as well as Praveen Kankariya, CEO of Impetus Technologies, Inc., discussed the marriage of the benefits of OLAP [online analytical processing] with the scalability and flexibility of Hadoop through several use-case scenarios. The duo emphasized how facilitating real-time interactivity with the data optimizes use of the most expensive factor in the big data chain — human talent.
“We want to make sure the human being that is waiting there to know his or her data doesn’t have to wait,” explained Kankariya. “The analyst is able to arrive at the insight and validate or invalidate and act on it.”
