CoreOS, Inc., which creates and maintains open-source projects for Linux, showed its support for Nutanix, Inc. with an appearance at Nutanix .NEXT 2015. Nutanix supports Tectonic, CoreOS’ container platform, as a commercial partner, and the conference gave CoreOS a chance to show off its latest tools.
CoreOS aims to improve the security and reliability of the Internet, as well as bring hyperscale methodologies to enterprise and smaller companies.
“We’re making the best parts of hyperscale models applicable to companies that previously didn’t have the resources to invest in that type of sophisticated infrastructure,” CoreOS CEO Alex Polvi told theCUBE, SiliconANGLE’s Media production team.
With just under 40 employees and $20 million in capital to date, CoreOS promises to advance modern server infrastructure.
