Dreamforce in numbers: Numerous app conquers the chaos

Among the most awaited tech events this year, Dreamforce will be another conference of chaos. Kicking off tomorrow and running through the week, Salesforce’s annual event is a demonstration of how influential and massive its ecosystem of enterprise apps and services has become.  To help attendees manage the chaos of such a large event (and also to show off its recently relaunched platform), startup Numerous, Inc. has created the Dreamforce Channel for iOS and Android users (including Apple Watch).

The Dreamforce Channel for Numerous gives attendees an at-a-glance visual of key conference details, delivered in helpful numerical form. For instance, Numerous will display the wait time till the next keynote, and the hours remaining before the Foo Fighters’ performance. Curious to know how many people are in line at Blue Bottle Coffee before trudging across the Moscone Center for caffeine? Or maybe you’d be more interested in the wait time for an Uber ride to your hotel.

Users select which stats are most helpful to them, crafting an individualized and highly specific experience for what could be an overwhelming four days at Dreamforce.

The launch of the Dreamforce Channel for Numerous follows the announcement of Salesforce Channel for Numerous. The idea behind this lies with the premise that executives are drowning in data, and Numerous is looking to better contextualize and create actions around the data that matters most. With this channel, executives will still be able to follow reports as well as track the most important numbers at a glance. When you add Salesforce to your Numerous dashboard, you can receive push notifications when you hit your sales goals, automatically send an email to the team when the average case resolution goes over the acceptable wait time, and more.

Numerous has come a long way from just counting down the days to an event. Back in July, the platform integrated with IFTTT that allows user data to act as a two-way trigger for a growing range of connected devices and services. As Numerous co-founder John Scalo explained to SiliconANGLE, the team up with IFTTT allows users to put their numbers to work, performing tasks like sending a text when your child’s blood glucose level drops too low. “You can now check less because Numerous does the work for you,” Scalo said.
