6 Android smartphones under $300 to add to your Christmas shopping list | #TechGiftGuides2015

If a loved one has added a smartphone to their Christmas wish list, it does not mean that you have to spend upwards of $500 to find a worthy present. Below is a list of six smartphones that all come under a budget-friendly $300, including smartphones from OnePlus, Xiaomi and Motorola.

OnePlus XOnePlus X – $249

The 5-inch OnePlus X comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with microSD. Your loved one can take great photos this festive season with the OnePlus X’s 13MP rear-facing camera and 8MP front-facing camera. Thanks to the use of Ceramic crafted from zirconia or dark glass Onyx the OnePlus X has a high-end look and feel.

Even though the window has closed to get a OnePlus X without an invite, you could still get your hands on one for your loved one by requesting a OnePlus X invite or getting a fellow OnePlus user to invite you. The OnePlus X retails for $249.

Xiaomi Mi 4 – $229

The 5-inch Xiaomi Mi 4 (main image) comes with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz processor. The Xiaomi Mi 4 also comes with a 13MP rear-facing camera and 8MP front-facing camera for those selfies. The camera has a Sony IMX 214 stacked sensor allowing it to focus in just 0.3 seconds. The Xiaomi Mi 4 retails for $229.

LG Nexus 5LG Nexus 5 D820 – $270

The LG Nexus 5 comes with a 4.95-inch (445ppi) Full HD IPS display with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. The 2,300mAh battery provides up to 13 hours of talk time. The LG Nexus 5 has lower-spec’d camera, featuring an 8MP rear-facing camera and 1.3MP front-facing camera. The LG Nexus 5 retails for $270.

 

MOTO GMOTO G (2015) – $180

The MOTO G comes with a 5-inch HD display protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. It includes up to 2GB of RAM, up to 16GB of storage and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. According to Motorola, the 2,470mAh battery lasts all day and he MOTO G also boasts advanced water resistance. The MOTO G has a 13MP rear-facing camera and 8MP front-facing camera. The retail price for the MOTO G starts at $180.

Asus Zenfone 2Asus Zenfone 2 (2015) – $198

The Asus Zenfone 2 is super thin, measuring just 3.9mm and has a 5.5-inch display. The device is powered by a 64-bit 2.3GHz Super Quad-Core Intel Atom Z3580 processor and has 4GB dual-channel DDR3 RAM. The Asus Zenfone 2 comes with a 13MP rear-facing camera and 5MP front-facing camera. The retail price for the Asus Zenfone 2 starts at $198.

 

Samsung Galaxy AlphaSamsung Galaxy Alpha – $270

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha smartphone has a 4.7-inch HD display and a metal frame. The device features an Octa Core processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes with a 12MP rear-facing camera and 2.1MP front-facing camera. The retail price for the Samsung Galaxy Alpha starts at $270.
