Apple released iOS 9.3 public beta at the start of this week and with it comes a variety of new features, like Night Shift mode, for iPhone, iPad, and iPod users. If you were quick off the mark to download the latest version of the operating system, but are now having issues or simply want to rather wait until iOS 9.3 is available for the general public, here is how you can downgrade back to iOS 9.2.
Before you start the downgrade from iOS 9.3 beta to iOS 9.2 make sure you have a backup of your device. This will ensure that you do not lose any of your data on iOS 9.3 if something has to go wrong during the downgrade process and you have to revert to iOS 9.3. Go to Settings > iCloud > and choose what you want to include in the backup.
If Recovery Mode does not work on your device, you can try placing your device into Device Firmware Mode (DFU). Press and hold both the Power and Home buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. Release the Power button, but continue to press the Home button. iTunes will then notify you that you device is in DFU mode.
Click Restore on the iTunes popup > to confirm, click Restore and Update > click Next on the iOS 9.2 Software Updater > Agree to the Terms and Conditions and the download for iOS 9.2 will begin.
Before the download is complete, if your device reboots to iOS 9.3 you will have to place it back into Recovery Mode and repeat the steps above.
When the download is complete, iTunes will restore your operating system back to iOS 9.2.
To restore the archived backup that you made prior to installing iOS 9.3 public beta, select Restore from this backup in iTunes > select the archived backup that you made prior to installing iOS 9.3 public beta.
Be patient, as the entire process of downgrading from iOS 9.3 public beta to iOS 9.2 will take between 15 and 20 minutes.
Apple is yet to announce when iOS 9.3 will be available for the general public.
THANK YOU
