How to stay current in the technological age | #NEXTConf

Everything is going digital these days, and it can be hard for some companies to keep up. However, companies like Hallmark have managed to do better than ever.

Bob Dussault, IT director and information security officer at Hallmark Business Connections, talked with Dave Vellante (@dvellante) and Stu Miniman (@stu), cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during the Nutanix .NEXT Conference 2016 event about how Hallmark keeps up in the age of technology.

Staying up to date

Hallmark is a company that may seem very analog; however, as times and technology have changed so has Hallmark. Its Information Technology and Security team works hard to make the customer’s experience easier and safer.

The products Hallmark is working on are geared toward customer experience. In fact, it focuses heavily on “relationships and incentives,” says Dussault.

Hallmark works hard with its development and implementation teams to make sure each project is effective. There can be a lot of moving parts, and Nutanix helps to keep them all together.

Safe and secure

As companies move into the future, old data can be more than just a hassle; it can become a security issue. With Nutanix, Hallmark helps make the communication between development and operations seamless. An effective point solution helps increase performance, as well as reinforces good program infrastructure.

Nutanix helps things operate “in the cloud way,” which allows architects to be more agile with the infrastructure, says Dussault. Having a more open and secure ecosystem helps build trust between customers and business partners, which helps Hallmark to stay ahead of the curve.
