Deloitte launches Salesforce-based health transformation platform for the COVID-19 era

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd. today launched a new public health transformation platform built on Salesforce that’s designed to help state and local governments modernize public health infrastructure in the age of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Called GovConnect, the platform is designed to help organizations and governments chart a path forward through thought leadership, accelerators and assets that enable responsible re-entry to the workplace. It’s powered by Salesforce, including its Work.com solutions.

GovConnect offers a test cases management platform that includes customer relationship management and mobile capabilities as well as integration among employers, employees, visitors, contractors and campuses. It’s intended to support what Deloitte describes as a “revitalization and modernization of public health platforms.”

Key features include next-generation disease surveillance and immunization registries to streamline public health information sharing; CRM case management to allow users to collect information on contact tracing and conduct follow-ups; contact tracing to track whom COVID-19 patients may have exposed the virus to; interactive business engagement; call center operations support; and advanced analytics.

The platform also includes mission support that allows state and local public health agencies to augment core services and a testing process optimization application to identify potential improvements to end-to-end testing processes, test data integration and reporting, and assess technology system implications.

“GovConnect allows officials to see a simplified view of their complex health ecosystem and deploy resources and capabilities accordingly to manage the public health crisis, help ensure the safety of public servants and enable communication with residents,” Sanjay Shah, principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP’s government and public services practice, said in a statement. “This process won’t be linear and public leaders need a data-informed, integrated approach to recovery and clear channels of communication with the public.”
