Cerberus Sentinel acquires cybersecurity assessment firm Clear Skies Security

Cerberus Cyber Sentinel Corp. today acquired cybersecurity assessment firm Clear Skies Security LLC for an undisclosed price.

Founded in 2008, Clear Skies specializes in helping companies discover vulnerabilities in their computer networks and applications before they can be exploited by hackers. The company offers a range of services, including application assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, architecture reviews and government compliance services.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Clear Skies names as partners in its service provision Pyramid Consulting Inc., Champion Solutions Group Inc., K3DES LLC, Veracode Inc., Greyson Technologies Inc., Alert Logic Inc. and Identity Force Inc.

Under the deal, Clear Skies will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Cerberus Sentinel and will continue to focus on providing security assessments and penetration testing services. Brad MacKenzie, current president and chief executive officer of Clear Skies, has been appointed to the role of managing director for Cerberus Sentinel.

“Clear Skies adds substantial experience to our security assessment capabilities,” David Jemmett, founder and CEO of Cerberus Sentinel, said in a statement. “Clear Skies serves as trusted security advisors and has a depth of talent proven to evolve with changing technologies. Their customer-first culture and talented team are a valuable addition to the Cerberus Sentinel team.”

Cerberus Sentinel offers managed security services on a monthly plan and consulting services on project-based contracts. The acquisition of Clear Skies follows on Cerberus Sentinel acquiring managed services firm Technologyville Inc. in August.
