Relationship intelligence startup Staircase AI raises $4M to accelerate go-to-market plans

Relationship intelligence startup Staircase AI Inc. has raised $4 million in new funding to scale up its engineering team and accelerate its go-to-market plans.

The seed round included Disruptive AI and StageOne Ventures.

Founded in 2019, Staircase AI offers a platform that uses advanced machine learning to analyze thousands of digital engagements between companies and their existing customers. The service is designed to provide customer success teams peace of mind in knowing that it will detect anomalies and trends while providing predictions and recommendations.

The company’s platform identifies whether a “champion or decision-maker” puts an entire account at risk. Staircase AI alerts team members to changes and directs them to move forward. The company pitches itself as providing a service where customer service leaders can understand and take action to adjust their playbooks quickly.

Staircase AI is heavy on its artificial intelligence angle with a service called Staircase Relationship Intelligence. The service is described as harnessing the power of AI for unprecedented visibility and insight into customer relationships. Using AI, the platform provides proactive analysis of customer communications to avoid pitfalls and improve overall customer relationships.

The company’s service analyzes and alerts users to customer issues, red flags and missed opportunities. Staircase AI is particularly designed for business-to-business companies looking to reduce churn and increase the quality of interactions.

Staircase AI’s service integrates and scans digital engagements across various services, including Slack, email, chats, video transcripts and in-app communications. Using advanced data and AI, these can be analyzed, predicted and monitored to create what the company says are “invaluable opportunities.”

“Only an AI-based system that fuses and analyzes large amounts of customer data can provide the deep insights needed to help companies better understand, retain and grow their customers,” Ori Entis, co-founder and chief executive officer of Staircase AI, said in a statement.
