Boomi leverages its name in new campaign to capitalize on outcome-driven platform

As brand names such as Xerox, Uber and even Zoom have discovered, being used as a verb is a positive sign of future success.

Now Boomi Inc. has built a new campaign around the same principle with “Go Boomi It,” according to Mandy Dhaliwal (pictured, right), chief marketing officer at Boomi. The idea sprang from a series of virtual customer events the company held during the pandemic.

“We started to hear: ‘I told my staff to just go Boomi it because it will get done,’” Dhaliwal recalled. “It crystalized for me. Boomi is a verb; we’re there. It’s a testament to the pervasiveness and capability of this platform.”

Dhaliwal spoke with John Furrier, host of theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio, during the Boomi: Hyperautomation & the Future of Connectivity event. She was joined by Chris Port (pictured, left), chief operating officer at Boomi, and they discussed how one customer leveraged the platform for a critical use case, as well as the expanding community of Boomi users. Support for vaccine ramp-up

“Go Boomi It” took on new meaning last year as one of the firm’s customers was working to deliver protection against COVID-19. Moderna Inc. found itself in a race to deliver an effective vaccine in the midst of a global pandemic, as well as onboard new employees as it ramped up for production.

“They couldn’t bring them on fast enough; they couldn’t onboard these people,” Dhaliwal said. “We were able to accelerate that onboarding and cut the time in half so they could focus on what mattered.”

In addition to its “Boomi It” identity, the integration-platform-as-a-service company has another label in its lexicon: Boomiverse. This refers to a community of users who build apps and become certified in all things Boomi.

“The Boomiverse is so vibrant now; it’s a force multiplier for Boomi in terms of our reach and how customers are learning from each other every day,” Port said. “We now have over 100,000 members as part of our community. That brings the knowledge base to bear with all of their experience.”
