Infinidat’s Eric Herzog reveals company’s plans for the future

Early this year, data storage startup Infinidat Ltd. went through a leadership change, appointing Phil Bullinger as its new chief executive officer to lead the company on the next phase of its growth.

Also recently joining the company was marketing maven Eric Herzog (pictured), chief marketing officer of Infinidat Ltd. He will help the organization accelerate is global momentum as it continues to scale.

“Most CIOs don’t know anything about storage, other than they know a guy got to spend money on it,” Herzog said. “So the Infinidat message of optimizing applications, workloads and use cases with 100% guaranteed availability, unmatched reliability, the set-and-forget ease of use, which AIOps is driving, and overall IT operations management was very attractive.”

Herzog spoke with Dave Vellante, host of theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio, for a digital CUBE Conversation. They discussed his move from IBM to Infinidat, as well as Infinidat’s product portfolio plans for the future.

Gearing to grab more of the industry’s attention

Herzog is an award-winning marketing and cloud computing expert. His tech know-how will help Infinidat place its offerings in the best positions in which to succeed.

“We’re going to amp up our social media effort, and we’re going to open that up. And then, obviously, increase our demand generation activities as well,” Herzog explained, detailing the company’s strategy going forward. “We’ll also leverage what we do and deliver that message to the partner base and the world, so the partners can take advantage and not only make good margin and revenue, but deliver products that really meet the needs of their customers while saving them dramatically on capital and operating expenditure.”

Vellante and Herzog also touched on the actual cutting-edge product features in Infinidat’s existing portfolio.

“We have an enterprise-class, AI-based, software-defined storage technologies that run on a hybrid, all-flash array and has a variant that’s really tuned towards modern data protection, including data and cyber resilience.  Three elements are part of the portfolio, which, by the way, all have a common architecture,” Herzog stated.
